MCE launches Christmas Gift Appeal in aid of Storehouse

MCE is proud to launch its Christmas Gift Appeal, in partnership with local charity Storehouse, to aid families and individuals throughout Belfast who are experiencing extreme financial difficulty this festive season.

Each year Storehouse provides fresh Christmas hampers to families and individuals who would otherwise be going without. The hampers include fresh turkeys and all the fixings for a festive feast, and other essential items, including an age-appropriate toy or gift for each child within the family.

In 2020 Storehouse managed their biggest Christmas Hamper giveaway so far, hand delivering gifts and hampers to over 225 families.

This year MCE staff will be donating gifts for teenagers who might not otherwise receive a Christmas present, and we’d like to invite you to join us in our gift appeal.

Drop off new and unwrapped gifts (suitable for pre-teen and teenagers) to MCE’s city centre-based office (3rd floor, 83-85 Victoria Street, Belfast, BT4 1PN) between 9.00am and 5.00pm from now until Monday 6th December.

Donated gifts will then be delivered to Storehouse’s Dunmurry based warehouse where they will be packed into hampers and distributed to those in need in time for Christmas.

If you’d prefer not to donate a physical gift, you can also Sponsor a Turkey via Storehouse’s website www.storehousebelfast.com

MCE will also be donating to Storehouse’s Sponsor a Turkey campaign again this year.
